For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Wendi4 I am so glad they let him make up his call to you:) And letters too, I know you are one happy momma! How fantastic that he has such a close family and friends to surprise him, I know you can't wait!! So happy to see the countdown clock in the teens, YAY!!
well good morning all i sure hope everyone gets a letter and call before the weekends over I know I'm over the moon we got a letter on wed. and a phone call on thurs. and I have to say my sr sounded great and is doing great and I have to give a huge thank you to the navy when most of the others in his div (ship 03 div354) got to make their 1st phone call Matthew was having dental work done (wisdom teeth) and missed out getting to call us We know this from his 2nd call home Our call on thurs. was him getting to make up that 1st call he missed out on making thank you thank you and then to get a letter what a great way to go into the weekend and to just top it all off the cards won which is his fav team so i cant wait till he gets to read that letter from mom he'll love it hotels booked and i can't believe my luck both of his older brothers are going to get to drive up on sat plus some close friends we're going to suprise him with his extra guests on sat he has some of the best friends around they've been writing to him and their going to make a 3hr drive just to spend some time with him before he heads off to A school in Fl. ( on a side note these same friends have checked on his dad and I every week since he left ) gotta love all my boys hope everyone has a great weekend and you are all blessed with ringing phones and mail
TxNukeMom: Hmmmm....maybe research (google is "your friend!") the local colleges in the area, go on their websites, and see on their school calendars about homecoming weekend dates....maybe you can find piks on there after the event!

Our family received letters today, it sounds like our SR's are doing great:) I hope everyone gets letters and calls!!
