What exactly is hell week?He mentioned it in his letter today.
Sonya, just call it VBS (Vibrating Bra Syndrome) when it goes off and you have to run to answer your phone "Excuse me I have VBS, I will be right back". People will either be afraid to ask you what VBS is and leave you alone, or they will laugh hysterically when you tell them.
Hi my SR Birthday is Sep 29 , I wish he can call home I received letter and a called two day ago same time . He told me this is the first Birthday that he won,t be able to hear me say "Happy Birthday " to me in person . The first Birthday i can,t hug him and say I love him...huhuhu..I wish he can call on his Birthday.

Sonya, that doesn't sound crazy at all lol. I think most of us have all done that as well. It is the best place to keep you phone to make sure you don't miss that call. Glad it worked for you :-)
...should add that you can delete a post by clicking the "x" in the box.
JohnShawn. Welcome to the group! But I have to ask you to remove your SR's name from your post. We are not allowed to post the SR's last names on here....against OPSEC (Navy security). So please remove the name (copy/paste) or delete the post and repost without the name. Thanks!
Yep, going on the NO NEWS IS GOOD NEWS theory is exactly what you should be doing! You will hear from her if there is a change in her PIR date, etc. Just know that she is being well taken care of and learning to become a sailor!
SailorMom: You may need a "babysitter" for your phone when you are working and can't have it "on" you! HA! Maybe someone in a desk job in the area who can watch for that 847 area code! Just make sure to take your phone with you in the bathroom and also to the mailbox....many ladies have missed calls during these times!
taracotta: Hang in there....they have good days/bad days....they change often. So hopefully, today will be a good day! I'm sure hearing your voice is just what he needed. So glad you were able to talk to him. Look forward to training week #4...which is the turnaround week for them...they get much more positive and hopeful! That week will be Oct 8th week for this PIR group, which is just around the corner!
Good Morning all!
