Great news, Lala!
So glad you had such a good time, Betsy!
That is awesome Betsy, I keep looking in my area for a good navy Mom friend :-) So far I have made many but they all live in FL, VA, or closer to the coast of NC but hopefully soon I will find one closer.
serandall, thanks so much for your both of your sons service to our country. I am sure you are excited about PIR :-) You will have to tell us how the two graduations compare to each other :-)
Jordan was released from the hospital about an hour ago :-) We are so lucky that his mom is a nurse and took him to the Dr as soon as the symptoms appeared. He is by no means over it but is well on his way to recovery. The weird thing is at this point they don't know for sure if it is encephalitis or west nile virus and it takes a long time for the results to come back. Thanks again everyone for all your thoughts and prayers.
Hi ladies, hope all had a good day.
serandall, Thank you and your sons for their service. I truly respect moms of multiple soldiers/sailors.
Lala, I'm so happy for your little nephew! Woohoo!
I was lucky enough to get together with another Navy mom today. She was a new mom on the PIR groups about a year ago. She moved to Maryland from Texas about 2 weeks. She has adult children in the Marines and Navy and she is such a sweetheart! We are already looking forward to getting together again soon for shopping and lunch. She will be living about 15 minutes from where I live. So, who knows, one day you might meet a Navy mom on here somewhere that you never expected. I did remember talking with her on the PIR groups last year and now here we are in the same state, about 15 minutes from each other. :)
Lala and Diannep you might remember her, it is Anna V? She has 2 Marines sons and a Navy son. It's a small world.
Hi! My son has PIR Nov. 2. He's in Ship 12, DIV 361. He's my second to choose military. His older brother is 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, Asian Pacific. Having 2 sons that I can't easily communicate with is killing me. Knowing how awesome it was to see my Marine at his graduation makes me so excited for November. Can't wait!
hello everyone looking for a mom or dad here from arkansas with an SR first inital J. who left out wed 05 from arkansas little rock, my son and him hung out together
A couple quick tips on how to navigate this site with ease.
At the top you will see tabs, main, invite, my page, etc. The first two are pretty self explanatory, the my page tab takes you to the tab with everything about you. Groups you have joined, discussion you are in, friends etc. All the links for the groups are clickable, if you want to come to this group click the link, and you are here.
Clicking the "Group" tab takes you to the main page for all the groups on this site. To the left under the tabs you will see two other links, "All Groups" and "My Groups", by clicking on "My Groups", it will take you to the page that shows all the groups on the site that you have joined. Clicking anyone of those clickable links will take you directly to that groups front page.
Use it a couple times and you will be navigating this site easy peasy like a pro!!!
Hi there! My son has PIR on November 2, 2012. He is ship 09, DIV 357. I am still trying to figure out how to navigate on the web site and find others with loved ones with the same PIR, ship and DIV. It's been a rough couple of weeks and I am anxiously waiting for a hand written letter from my SR. I miss him terribly and can't wait to hug him on Nov. 2nd as well :)
Yah!
Thanks so much for all the prayers. He is doing better this morning and will hopefully be coming home soon :-)
