turtlesgabba- you are right, the form letter has the pass word on it for printing the gate [ass which allows you to drive onto base. I would ask your recruit what the password is just in case that form letter is lost and never shows up.
@timsdad.. welcome, i think its awesome that you are involved in your sons journey!
just an FYI.. my husband joined.. www.navydads.com.. HE LOVES IT!
Good Morning all =}
I am still feeling lost.. my son left 09/05, called 09/06 to say he landed safe.. received his box 09/11.. but still NO form letter... I called his recruiter for his address but im sure that letter is important with Grad info.. right??
Hello Tims dad, my son left for boot camp on Sept. 4 and I have not received the form letter either. I heard from someone else on this site that it may be up to 3 weeks before I get that letter and it would be highly unlikely I would get a call even though many form this site have received calls. I wanted to let you know you are not alone in waiting for information.
Happy Monday Ladies!
taracottagreen, The ship your SR is in does not necessarily hold just divisions within this TG. Right now it also has (from what I can actually count), four from 10/12, two from 10/5, two from 9/28, two from 9/14. The 9/14 group is leaving now and a new group will soon move in.
So if I am understanding your question (I tend to think in circles at night, not your fault), granted calls would be given to the division, or individuals within a division, not the ship.
Thanks you have been a lot of help.
lisashd: Just bring them with you to PIR. They need to have the same ID that you have (form letter gives details). I would suggest that those with "extras" arrive early....we left our hotel on the shuttle at 6:30 which got us there in plenty of time.
