Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Gate passes for this group should be on the RTC upcoming grad page on Monday! Type the password from your form letter in ALL CAPS. You can print as many was you like...write in the info.

If someone received their password, and then that SR was transferred into another division, you can call Public Affairs, give them the old password, and they will give you the new one for the new division. I had to do this with my son when he was there.

Right Skyler, that part I'm aware of, however, Coltensmom wrote her son had just transferred into Division 363, so the password she initially received may not work. The suggestion to contact RTC Affairs will hopefully steer her in the right direction. Can't wait to meet the parents of all the divisions listed here!

It is time to CELEBRATE!!!!!! The Iraq War is OVER.
I wonder if they have told all the recruits and Sailors what they are saying on the news. Iraq war is over and all troops will be home by the end of the year. I swear when I read that I had tears running down my face. I can only imagine how happy the families will be to have their son/daughters, wives/husbands, brothers/sisters, moms/days, nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles etc etc etc home for the holidays. What a great joy that will be :-)

Raberta, Skyler is correct. The gate passes are available for printing usually around 11 days before your PIR date. You will find the password on your SR's initial form home. You then use that in order to obtain the gate pass.

It is my understanding that the upcoming graduation ceremonies are posted on the RTC website. There will be a blue statement to the right which links you to download the pass. The site reads that it will not be given until the week before the graduation date.

Colten's Mom, I would call the RTC Public Affairs Office and explain your situation. They should be able to help you on a way to obtain the password. Here is the number: 847-688-2405.
