For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Oh, ok....sorry, misunderstood that. Some do wear them and some don't, sarah. It is just up to the person if they want to wear the ribbons are not.
Kriss: Like SRMCmom said, defnitely Nov 4th. There is no PIR on the 8th. Just the 10th.

Kriss, If your SR is in 9/364, his graduation date is Nov. 4th. My son is in 9/364 and they have been too busy to even think straight these past few weeks, so he may be disoriented. My son even asked for a calendar to keep his dates straight. As far as I know, there is no graduation on Nov. 8th, only Nov. 10th of that week. Hope this helps.

Got a phone call Monday and a letter on Thursday and my SR still insists that his PIR is on Nov 8.

Yes, SR letter to DIL said that they were supposed to get a call on 27th, but that they didn't. Part of the Breaking them down process? Hope your call was great, and the rest of the Div is getting one too. But it has now been hours since your call, so I am thinking it won't happen.
