Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Said at first he just wanted to leave & come home but that it is going good now...pretty sure he found some buddies..sounds like he likes his division! YAY!! Hope you all get letters today! ( my husband checked the mail & brought me my letter to work! :)

I know his girlfriend got a letter yesterday and he said he had not received any mail from home and I have written every day. So I am assuming he will get them this Sunday

Comment by diannep on September 28, 2011 at 1:10pm: Cornidawg: He could have received all of the letters this past Sunday, the 25th. That is the first day they usually start receiving them...a Sunday...they hold them for the first 2 weeks of bc.

And since he was a late division (366), I bet he won't start getting ours until this weekend at best. But he'll have a stack to read if he gets them all at once!
