Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Jil, if your SR is going into a job that requires a secret clearance, it's not a good idea to have those on here. This is a public site and anyone can access it. Also, the RDC's do occasionally check this site to see what they can find out and have been known to take back information on here to the SR's. We wouldn't want to cause any teasing or harassment for our SR's. They could then easily figure out who is who.

Ladies, when you do join your div/ship groups, please remember that it's very important to keep checking the main PIR group, as we (veteran's) are always posting valuable information on here. It would be impossible for us to keep up with all the div/ships discussions.

Ladies, as you find out your division and ships, you can start a discussion for your division. It's nice to do that so you can bond with others in your division. Just go to the Discussion Forum directly above the Comment Wall and start one under Add a Discussion. Just put your Division and Ship number and others with follow.

bsobo, they normally will have around 80 or so SR"s in a division (they usually lose some along the way). The ship is the building that they are housed in, so more than one division will actually be in a ship.

Hello Moms! My name is Debbie! My son is in Ship 9 Div 363! I got my form letter with a little hand written message on the back of it on Saturday from My son! I was SO happy! I have been having a very rough time with this! I can't wait until the day I get to hug him again!

You're on the grad schedule! Fairly small group...only 8 divisions. Here is the info:
