Thanks to all the veteran moms who generously donate their time and knowledge. I cannot tell you all what the empowerment of information has done for both myself and my daughter.

Bandito's Mom - Yes the ship/div information is from the recruiter when I called for address yesterday morning.  My daughter was scheduled to leave on the 7th, but due to flight issues didn't arrive til late in the evening on the 8th.

I added a BattleStations discussion group above.  When you all start receiving your division numbers, you can start discussions above for your individual divisions so you can get to know one another.  Please be sure to stay on this main board as well, since most info will be posted here.  We N4Moms veterans are on all of the active PIR sites (usually 6-7 at a time) so there is little time to scan the discussions on a regular basis for questions.  We will, for the most part, stay on the main boards.  So...please stay involved in both your division discussion group and this main page.

Ladies, this is the very difficult time of bc for both your SRs and for you.  Up until about Training Week #4 (about 5-6 weeks after they have left), it is emotionally nerve-racking due to lack of contact, info, etc.  We on this site do our best to try and fill in the gaps for you....you may even be able to pass on info that you learned on here to your SR when you hear from him/her!  Please ask and our team of N4Moms veterans on here will try and steer you in the right direction, as Lala and Betsy have done below, and Fireteam started the group off with.  She has supplied wonderful info to the right of this page under PAGES up top (under members photo area).  Please read through this as many of your questions will be answered there.  If not, then please post any questions you may have...or just "vent!"  We are here for you!

Lizzie's Mom, Did you actually get a letter with SR ship and div?  or was that from the recruiter?  There are no Div higher then 360 listed so far on the 10/28 PIR site.  Did your SR leave 6Sep or 7Sep?  So confused.  Mine should have legt 6Sep, but had flight cancellations, so left 7Sep.  He texted from ORD airport that he arrived, and spoke to DIL on cel from airport, but we haven't heard anything from him since he arrived at RTC, not even his mandatory call.

bsobo- your form letter should arrive in the next few days. It usually comes within the first week. So maybe even tomorrow. I am unsure about the ID but I believe it takes a few weeks before you get any of that info. I am sure there will be someone here with more experience as far as military ID's that can answer that part of your question.

bsobo, ((hugs)) You should be getting your form letter in a week or 10 days.  I'm not so sure about the military ID's as I'm just a mom, but you might also want to join the group for Navy wives, I'm sure they could answer that question.  Here is a link to one of the wives' groups  http://www.navyformoms.com/group/navywivesonN4M?commentId=1971797%3...

Hi All! My husband left for basic on Sept. 7. Its been terribly hard on me, we have a four year old and he seems to be doing ok so far with the changes, we have been keeping busy. I was curious if anyone knew when I could expect the Form letter? Also when I could expect to get my paperwork to process our military ID's etc?

Thanks for all the help and info!!!!
