WELCOME TO PIR 11/09/2012!

OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance. Please take the time
to read the OPSEC and Community Guidelines. A quick note here: Last Names of Sailors/Recruits are not allowed on this site. If it is in your username you will need to change your username. If yours is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended. First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends".

Jodi:  Good day here...hope it was for you too!  So neat that your son's division won the Hall of Fame flag.  My son's division did also and they were so excited.

Hall of Fame flag is the "ultimate" of flags, ladies, so it is the one they all want!

hi diannep, how is your day going? I found out last night that I will be going to Luke's graduation. I'm glad, I want to see him in his spiffy uniform. My son is really enjoying Pensacola. Says" Florida, gotta love it!." He got bit by a crab (of course he was trying to pick it up lol) and swam with a stringray (momma's not too happy about that!!). Can't wait to go visit him.

karens, so sorry you haven't received a letter yet. I know how that feels. My SR did write. In fact he was in his bunk writing to me when the RDC started yelling. I know my son (PIR 8/31) said in the beginning there was a group of guys in his division that just didn't know how to shut up and listen. The division did a lot of extra IT(intense training) because of it. However they did finally get their act together and worked together so well that their division won the "Hall of Fame"

I love seeing that number get smaller on the countdown above!  Come on 11/9!! :)

Jodi:  Thanks for the new prices on the piks.  Wow, they have gone up!  I know that Pkg A used to be $140.00 and the PIR DVD used to be $29.  Sounds like inflation has hit!  :-)

Ladies remember, they can only pik up the piks and/or mail them home if they pay for them.  If they have to wait for you to get up there to pay for them, then you will get them at the NEX after PIR.

Lillian:  Not sure what you are asking?  Are you talking about posting in the discussion group above?  If so, make sure to hit ADD REPLY after you type your post.

Mail just came, no letter again.  Starting to worry, several of the loved ones from his ship, div have received letters saying they have been getting hell as there are some who are not getting it. God, please just one line saying "I'm ok"

How do you become a member for Ship 11 Div 364? I am signed up but I can't view the post.

The pictures are around $ 170.00. It's been suggested having your SR mail them home so you don't have to stand in line waiting after PIR but my son picked them up before graduation. The cost did not include the DVD of the ceremony ( which is $ 39.00) We ended up ordering the DVD. We filmed the ceremony but we had a crying baby next to us and thats all we could hear when we watched it later.

Anndrya, there is a discussion listed above for ship 13. Just click on that to get with other family members in that ship.

So glad to see you here finally Anndrya! :)
