WELCOME TO PIR 11/09/2012!

OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance. Please take the time
to read the OPSEC and Community Guidelines. A quick note here: Last Names of Sailors/Recruits are not allowed on this site. If it is in your username you will need to change your username. If yours is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended. First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends".

lulovesjosh, that is such awesome news!  I didn't want to get my hopes up that I would get a letter this week, but now I can't stop smiling!  Hopefully the USPS won't take too long getting it here!! :)

Good Morning!

For those of you with extras coming, the only thing you do need to worry about is you want to make sure your SR knows who needs to be on the list to get in. For instance, you probably wouldn't want to leave a 80 year old grandma in a waiting line all by herself, or a 13 year old sibling, nor would you want your 80 year old mother headed in to PIR with three kids under the age of 12. :)

Your SR will have the opportunity to change the list he made for those attending sometime in the last couple of weeks, so make sure you figure out who you need on the list and who can wait in the line to get in.

I have just told everyone if they want to come they can. They can try to come to PIR but even if they can't get in they will still get to see her during liberty.

That is so sweet Sherri, I bet he will be happy to see them all :-)

Novaestupida.... Same problem here! It will be me, sig other, both of our teenagers, my mom, sons father from Michigan....now both of my sisters, brother in law, niece and her kids! Geez do they love him or what? And they don't care if they get turned away at graduation, as long as they get to see him :-)

Thanks for all that info Lala!  I told my mother in law that we could probably get extras in, and now I think the whole family wants to come, lol.  This PIR may be half my husband's supporters and half for the rest of the TG!! :)

Just take your extra's to PIR. They may have to wait in the visitors center until the guest on the list are seated but then they will be allowed to go in before it starts. The gates open at 6:30 and the extra guests are let in first come, first served. So get there early. But with 12 DIV's I doubt you will have a problem getting them in. If you are uncomfortable with this you can also ask your recruit to check with their friends and see if anyone has any vacant spots on their list. If he/she does put them on another's list they will need their names and you will need the recruits name, DIv etc in order for them to check in.

How did the extra guests get in? My son has a blended family so many aren't going to be able to get into PIR and feelings will be hurt...I'm hoping to find a way to include more of us....
Comment by Lala Ribbon Queen PIR Ribbons on September 25, 2012 at 4:33pm

My daughters PIR had 13 divisions and we took 4 extra guests and everyone got in to see PIR :-) I hope that helps some of you who are wanting to take extra guests.
