Ok, lets start a discussion about who wants to do a meet and greet as well as where to have it. From what I Understand, there are two different options for where we could do M&G. Ramada is the place most people have held this event in the past, but there has't been positive words said about it ie.. dirty, smoky. Or.. we can have it anastasias. Ramada is more of a bar scene, Anastasias is more of a family type place. Lets take a poll and see who wants to have it where. I'm thinking about 6-8pm so theres enough time for everyone to get back to their hotels before the BIG day!! There is a link to anastasias that i can post so you all can take a look at the menu. Meet and Greet will be a time for us all to get to know eachother, since we've been eachothers support system for weeks now! Let me know what you're thoughts are and we can go from there!

Thanks Iowanavygf!!! The Ramada does one I think that doesn't cost - kind of like their happy hour I believe? I'm good either way, and would lean to Anastasias I think.... I will have my son's gf and a friend of hers as well as my son's grandparents - I think they would enjoy Anastasias better than a bar scene....
You're so welcome! I'm all about finding things to keep me busy! I like anastasia idea too.. for those of us with children.
Do we need to make reservations or put money down if we do this? Or would it just be everyone pay for what they eat/drink?
iowanavygf - this is an iowa mom, good to meet you. Well, sort of. Where are you from?? The M&G looks like it will be on the 11th and we are travelling that day. Would love to come but not sure what the weather will be like or exactly how long it will take us to get there.
We hope to leave by noon on Thursday. When are you leaving? I hope a lot of N4M's get to go, could be fun !!
great to meet you!! unfortunately.. my bf got moved to seperations yesterday, so I won't be attending. It is about a 5 1/2 hour drive from where i live.. im in central iowa..tama... i was originally planning to leave at noon as well. That should give u enough time.. good luck!!
Hey Tama gal, passed thru that huge town a lot when we drove to UNI to visit my daughter when she attended there.
I read some of your other posts and i guess you still don't know what separations are? Maybe just the obvious, but who knows? Yes, I just wonder about the weather and hope there is no snow yet because that will delay us.
We are in Pella so we'll have a little longer of a trip but not much . : )
For those of you that are still planning on doing this.. have someone volunteer to bring name tags for everyone.. that way you know who eachother are.. put your "handle" along with your sailors name and his division. Some moms/wives/gf/husbands have decided to get the division tshirts prior to this occasion so then that will be one way of distinguishing who eachother are.. wear them on the night of m&g since on friday you'll be in dressier clothes.
Where are you getting division t-shirts? Are you making them yourself, or is there a place to purchase them?
