Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

N4M's Community Guidelines
and
OPSEC.

~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.

~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.

~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.

~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:

• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:

• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.

Some Suggestions:

~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.

~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option

~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends"

bzmom06 -- she called and told me friday.. she said she will call me tuesday if she passes or thursday.. but if she doesn't pass I won't here from her at all. funny thing is our flight thursday is at 5:30 am.  She said she will test at 10am. So I could always take a later flight on thursday.  we will see!

Destinysmom... My daughter to was concerned she would not pass the running part. I've been on pins and needless here to. I won't hear from her until Wensday the 11th. I thought if they failed anything they would be able to call someone? Is this true? If my daughter failed on Thursday when she took her final run would she have called me then? Or do I still have to wait until the 11th either way

*Meant to add that she may be in the balcony exhausted....but she will be in uniform and a sailor!

Comment by diannep on November 7, 2015 at 11:14am

Destiny'sMom:  Normally they try again on Mon and Wed....either way....if she passes by Thurs, she will do BattleStations that night with the next PIR group...and she will be at PIR.  She will be exhausted, in the balcony (some in the past have even managed to march with their divisions....not sure if they still allow that but they used to).  Prayers that she passes it M/T and will be rested for PIR since she can then go with one of the divisions in her own PIR group.

This happens in every group....and most will pass before PIR.  Those who don't will stay in FIT and keep trying.  They will get 10-12 more chances to pass, testing every 48 hrs.  Prayers for both of your SRs!

Good Morning All !

my sr didn't pass her running section. called today she sounded so defeated.  i tried to encourage her. she has another shot on Tuesday and possibly Thursday.  How does that work if she passes on Thursday? Won't she miss battle stations? Prayers and encouragement requested!
