Sailorswife: You may want to contact Sarge and see if he has a car seat that he can include in his cab for you. Not sure about that, but maybe? If he can put you with others to share his cab, it will save you some money. Contact him directly and talk to him about this:

michaelsmom: RTC Public Affairs asks that those who are not on the graduation list stay off base and watch the Livestream at the hotel....however, for those who have extras who are children, elderly, disabled, etc and need to be close by, they do allow some people into the Chapel on base to watch the Livestream. These extras will NOT get into PIR Hall....but will be able to meet up with you and your sailor after PIR is over.
I emailed Brian Walsh, RTC Public Affairs, a few months back about this issue and that is what he told me...
Happy Friday!

Thank you Michaelsmom, sounds like our SR's in Ship 13, Div 007 are going to be like zombies for PIR. Oh well, almost there. I know mine is anxious to see us even if he will be pooped! ;-) How exciting!! Oh and 45 degrees in the Great Lakes today. 90's here in So. Cal today. ;-) Going to take a little getting used to for our family but worth every chill!!

Good morning everyone! I got a call from my SR last night. His is the port watch section leader *(or whatever it is called) and he said ship 13 div 007 and 008 will do BS (OPSEC) band then go straight to graduation practice. I would assume since he manages the watch schedule, he probably is pretty accurate with the dates for his division. Just wanted to give a heads up for those in his ship.

*(The RTC considers BS ship movement)
My SR has said more than once that the 3 people we have coming to graduation ( but won't be able to go to the ceremony) can go to the chapel and watch. Is that the case? I thought I remembered seeing that the chapel is on base and anyone who wants on base has to be on the list. Any information would be appreciated. Thanks!
Good Morning My son called me yesterday with I am a Sailor! but sound so tired i dont think he could grasp the excitement since he was up for 48hr and still counting. i was happy and sadden to hear him so blah. i'll continue to pray as this is just the begging of many more sleepless days. on a happy note I cant wait to see him!!
