Good morning! I am in the process of posting the division discussions for this group.

Please refrain from posting in them until I am finished (I will let you know). If I make an error and have to delete, your post will join the discussion group in N4M cybor space. :)

Hi CatMom509, thank you for all the great information. I believe I remember seeing a post where someone mention you would be posting a code for Enterprise rental car, just checking on when you will posting that information. Thanks

Ashley:  Since you now have your own military ID, you can book in your own name if you want.  Should be the same price whether in your name or your SR's name.

Good Morning All !

Also, most who are booking their hotels come in on the Thursday before PIR and there is a Meet & Greet that you can all go to hosted by Sarge!  He provides a free meal and a plethora of information about PIR and things to do in the Chicago area (great for the families who will have Sailors attending A school in Great Lakes!)  You will need to RSVP if you see it down in the Events section, so he can plan for the food.  It is totally kid and family friendly!

Ashley_gmz,

Navy Lodge is a network of accommodations for Sailors and their families.  The reservation should be booked under your SR's name and he just needs to stop by the front desk sometime during your stay to show his id.  It is not free, but about $66/$78 a room.  Very clean and you will get a pass to shop at the small NEX there without needing your SR there with you (a usual requirement at any NEX).  They offer breakfast there too.  It also has a shuttle now that wil take you to PIR for $2.00 roundtrip. Not sure how bringing Sailors back are handled.

You should call to see if there are any rooms left because the Navy Lodge fills up very quickly for PIRs~~

diannep I was wondering if you could explain more on there Naval Lodge if you don't mind sharing. I have been researching on it for about a week or so now. I had plans to call in and book somerooms but I thought I needed my Mil ID which at the time I didn't have. But now I do. If I do it under my SR's name does that mean the room is free or just a discount? Plus I plan to come a day early so how will my SR reserve the room so I have a place to stay that night? If you don't mind me asking, thank you in advance for any insight you can give on this request.
