My SR called on Monday saying she was testing today didnt get any other call to say if she passed or not she 901 and has been performing at graduations.  My daughter and I will still make the trip to meet everyone because it feels as if its the right thing to do. Everything is paid for just wondering if we can attend the PIR anyway.

Diannep not sure about the test... He said he helped a fellow sailor put his mask on and he was failed for that. Like how instructed on a plane to put yours on first and then help someone else. If I had gotten a call either way I wouldn't be asking. Im driving leaving in the morning

Congrats to the sailors of 901/005/006!

meandap:  What "test" was your SR retaking?   Part of the fitness test?  If so, today would have been the last day for him to pass it and still be at PIR on Friday.  Did you get a call from him earlier, saying:  Didn't pass the test, don't come, won't graduate or may not graduate?  It is a hard position to be in....because if you received that call, you are actually not supposed to go to PIR unless you received another call from your now sailor saying all is well.  RTC can give you no info.

Not sure what you want to do.....leave tomorrow and hope your SR is now a sailor and see him at PIR....or not go since you didn't hear from him.   If he is not a sailor, they will not let you visit with him on Friday.  I know....it puts families in an awful position.  A long time ago, they DID allow families who arrived at RTC thinking they had a sailor.....visit with them for a couple of hours on base.  But they stopped doing that a good while ago....so if your SR is not a sailor, you will not be allowed to see him.

Just not sure how to advise you.  Are you flying or driving?

meandap, I COMPLETELY understand what you are going through. That is exactly how I felt all day yesterday and this morning. What was most comforting is when others said "No news is good news" so fingers crossed that all is well for your recruit and you get to hear from him soon. :)

Still waiting to see if my recruit passed. Div 003. He said he would retake his test yesterday. We are supposed to leave at 4am Thursday morning. Does anyone have any information for me? Sitting on pins and needles over here.

My sailor just called his girlfriend. He passed but she didn't find out if the rest of 006 passed. They should be calling! I am guessing they all passed since they were up for an award!
