Just did some research on air, hotel, car rental..  Car rental is only about $112-135 for 2 days... seems a little cheaper than Sarge.($160??).. Most hotels near RTC offer free shuttle to and from graduation..

will sarges taxi take you in to downtown Chicago? What about car rentals? Ant suggestions? Just priced my flight for four and it was 416.72.  I will check out southwest. However, that sounds great for four ticket, it sure does beat the 13 hour one way drive.

Personally, I think the option to change dates with no charge on your flights is desirable.  My son was delayed when he was there....I had to pay 2 change fees....UGH!  It happens sometimes....Please don't forget to check out Southwest Airlines rates into Milwaukee (shortest drive time) and Chicago Midway....2 bags check for free, no change fees.

DomsProudMom:  Here is Sarge's info.  Just remember, it is always more economical to rent a car if you can....sharing one of Sarge's cabs from the airport can save you some money though.  I believe his rate from the airports to GL is about $160?  Not positive on that, but you can read his info.  CatMom has an Enterprise rental car code in her Pertinent PIR Tips which she will be posting once the discussions are open.  Just something to consider.  If you do not want to rent a car, Sarge is "your man" then!  He will take good care of you.

@kkcs 43 --- I also received a short call yesterday from my SR looking for information from his college.  He was able to talk a little (guess no one was in the room with him)  He;s still in P-days so he said "he's bored"!!   Cant wait to talk to him a few weeks and see if he's bored then. :)

Hi all, Hope you can help.  Last night as I was looking around the website I found something that Sarge had written about coming to PIR and some incredibly helpful tips (thank God for Sarge!).  He mentioned his cab company so I can get from O'Hare to my hotel and for the life of me I can't find it again. Help!

I am in CA and the cheapest airfare I found is Spirit Airlines.  I have never flown with them and I am not even sure if they have the option to change dates.  I am hoping if I wait to book my flight I can get decent rates closer to the PIR date.

NancyM: Welcome!  And thanks for the recommendation on the Holiday Inn Express.  CatMom stayed there too and said it was great!

Welcome kkcs46!  Yes, it is possible the your SR is in a push division.  They fill up last, have a few less days to get it all done, but they DO get it done!

May I suggest that anyone who has not done so already, please read the PAGES info to the right of this page (above).  Lots of good info there!
