Heard from my son this Saturday morning, Ship 11 Div 3.  It was so good to hear his voice, but he's very homesick. Had to remind him it gets better.

I got a call from my daughter today. Ship 2 div 901. We got to talk for 30 min. It was so great to hear her voice. She is doing really good and very excited about singing in the choir. I can't wait to receive her letters. So proud.

My son told me he has received four letters from me two from my mom and one from a friend. I got his address two days after he left from his recruiter and started sending letters right away. He said he can't mail out Til this next week. He said keep the letters coming that is what helps most.

You can even tell your SRs to let other SRs know about Navy for Moms and to pass it onto their mommas!!

Glad your family received contact from your SR that he s doing great!  Please make sure you keep your cell phone fully charged as low battery generally causes calls to go straight to voicemail, for the most part~~

901 is calling.... my son was allowed 15 minutes today.  I, unfortunately, have a cellphone that didn't ring!  I only received the voicemail notifications :-(  Fortunately, he was able to get hold of his g-friend and she filled me in.  He is doing great!!
