I know the divisions are at difference places in training, but I keep seeing comments indicating this PIR group would be in week 5.  According to my count, from my SR's earlier info, her div. is only on DOT 4-2 today (Tues.)  Could there be that much difference between the divisions, or is my reckoning wrong?

Good morning everyone, I am heading to the Outer Banks today for some R & R :) so excited to have a couple days at the beach with my hubby, although I think it is going to be a little chilly lol

I have not introduced myself yet...

Hello! Fireteamleaderwife here. You can call me FTLW, it's easier :-)

My Sailor PIR’d in 05/2011. He is a Seabee Reservist. I have been an AF (Security Forces) Reservist wife for 28 years…I know …not Navy…but I am somewhat familiar with military life! We have been through two Deployments. Now working on Retirement process from AF and soon from Civilian job. Our son enlisted while Hubby was in Iraq. This site was a Godsend and helped me get through not only our sons BC experience but my husbands and my separation for 6 months.

I am a “veteran” mom on the PIR groups mostly.

Intense training also means the phone calls drop off until about the week before Battlestations when a division might earn a reward call for doing really well!!  Watch out for your letters on Wednesdays and Thursdays for most of you if your SR has the energy to write~~

Training Week 4  - "Hell Week", in BC because of all the testing, academics and more medical etc. - is the busiest week in BC (next to P days ;-) ). Your Recruits have just finished that up and are in various stages of Training Week 5.

So it is common to see letter writing drop off at this time.

Hope you all hear from them soon!

Didn't receive a letter last week either. So far none this week. I'm sure they are getting very busy now.

Comment by Lemming on October 20, 2014 at 10:35pm

I finally got a letter from my SR last Friday, but no call for almost two weeks.  Hopefully we'll at least get another letter this week.  I guess it depends if he feels like writing. It sounds like they are keeping very busy.

I'm back finally. Missed seeing everyone's posts.  It's been almost two weeks since I've heard from my son.  Not even a letter. I had surgery last week and I'm hoping I didn't miss a call.  Is anyone else in the same boat not hearing from their SR?

Comment by NancyM on October 20, 2014 at 4:07pm

It's getting closer!  I can't wait!!!
