I don't know what a PeaCoat is but as long as I know he is warm it makes me feel bettter.
Of course I don't know why I worried he used to wear shorts in November here in Boston but I am his mom and thats what I do I guess thanks for the info
I don't want to go to work I want to stay here all day with you. I am so lost in the real world right now...this is very hard right now but I'm gonna put on my big girl pants and go kick some butt at work so I can make enough money to get to PIR.
Navy Hugs to you all.
Does the Navy issue them warm winter coats?? I know this is silly but they will keep him warm right?
Lorie that's my son too, he tries to be hard and tough but he's really a softy, and his father was in the Navy too, so he wanted to join the navy since he was 8, lol.
I still have a 15 yr old sophomore and an 18 yr old college freshman at home to keep me busy but I still miss SR like crazy he is the oldest. I think the Navy was a good choice for my son he tried college and just hated it and he needed the structure and comradarie. He has the biggest heart of gold ever. I just hope people do not take advantage of him.
yes mamabear GSDGirl7 and I are both 901/2 and just so all 901's / 2's there is now a site just for our ship and division. It kinda helps me keep track of who is with my son.
IN ADDITION:
I have added the link to a PAGE that has a rundown of the MEET and GREETS for your PIR.There are also links that will take you tot he Event on this site for you to RSVP.
M & G are for those attending PIR to get together the night before to meet each other (your Sailor does not attend these. )
The MEET and GREET Information Link is up above underneath the scrolling Smileys and next to your PIR Group Picture.
N4M's Community Guidelines and OPSEC apply to the Discussion Forum area as well. The Division Discussions are viewable to all...just like the Main Wall here. Please do not start new Division Discussions.
Discussion Forum Area
This is the place to start a Discussion about a topic and for your Division Discussions.
The Discussion Forum area is set to show titles only and is set at ten titles at a time for now. (This can be adjusted by the group creator or an administrator)
It is also set to show the "latest activity"(there are other settings). So whatever has just had a reply added to it will "bump" that Discussion to the top. The discussion will stay up there at the top because it has had "activity"…until the next Discussion has activity. If there are over ten discussions, whatever is at the bottom will disappear from view…but not from the Discussion Forum. So, if you want to see more, click "view all" at the bottom right hand corner of the discussion forum area. It is right up there above the Blue Comment Wall bar.
To "bump" up a discussion to the first spot of the DF area when you don't really want to add a reply...in other words someone is looking for it...just type whatever you want in the reply box and click "add reply". I just type one letter or even a period and add the reply.
When you view a DF by clicking on the title, the first post ever made will be the first one on the first page. To get to the most current reply, click “Last Reply” directly underneath that particular Discussion.
Example (Last Reply is underlined)

You will also notice that in the top right corner in any post that you do you will see an "x". This is so you may delete your post if you need too. You will also see the “x” on any post you make anywhere else on the site.
