WELCOME to PIR 11/16/2012

OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance. Please take the time
to read the OPSEC and Community Guidelines. A quick note here: Last Names of Sailors/Recruits are not allowed on this site. If it is in your username you will need to change your username. If yours is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended. First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends".

Good Morning!

We have posted your Division Discussions up above. Please use them to get to know each other even better on a "Divisional" basis...BUT remember that you all have the same PIR date and many of you will be attending the same Meet and Greets...so please continue to post on the Main Wall here...you all have developed such a nice group! (Please do not make new Division Discussion as well)

Also, please continue to post your questions for us "veteran moms" on the Main Wall here. We have 7-8 active PIR groups going at one time..that's 70-80 Divisions! We try to get to the Division Discussions but with that many it is difficult! We don't want to miss any questions as ALL are important...no dumb ones...for many of you this is your first servicemember and we want to be there to help and lend support.

That is good about your parents. I am sure whatever you decide will be just fine with your five year old. I bet she is a daddy's girl...every little girl should be! Yes, He does have a plan...and always for our good. It is hard to understand sorrow sometimes, but He does and that is what gives us strength.

Thank you sooo much and yes my parents have not left my side :-) The hardest decision now is if I want to wait until we see our Sailor to explain to our 5 year old of what has happened. She is a Daddy's Girl!!! But God has a Plan so I am not going to question why this happened but Just continue to be thankful for the many Blessings I have and those to come ;-)

DoughtyFutureWife - Prayers going up for you and your recruit! So thankful you were able to get a hold of him and the Chaplain was there and helpful as well.
How hard for you and while I know he would be your most comfort I hope you have family and/or friends to help you. We're here for you as well! I know your little one is in Heaven...God is good.
Big, big hugs to you sweetie.

Please keep me and my Sailor in your prayers....I had a miscarriage today. This is sooo painful to go through with him away and not having him here to hold me while I cry. 7 weeks can't get here fast enough!!! But Ship 11 Div 006 has a GREAT Chaplain and he was very helpful and prompt with getting my Sailor on the phone when I needed him the most.

yea mamabear, pms hit me hard this month, I have been a sobby mess all day, my husband called after work, and goes are you stuffy, knowing full and well I had been crying, which sent me into tears again. Between him working out of town, and my son gone, well you get the idea.

Ya know Lorie, I say the samething, it's only me home all week, I have so much leftovers, and by grocery bill keeps getting smaller and smaller every week! Which I guess is a good thing. I really can't wait for A-school. I know he'll be busy then too but at least we will be able to talk to them more often. (oh wow I hope so!!) I only have my SR, so I am REALLY lonely, even with 4 german shepherds,  they are good listeners, however they don't talk back.
