WELCOME to PIR 11/16/2012

OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance. Please take the time
to read the OPSEC and Community Guidelines. A quick note here: Last Names of Sailors/Recruits are not allowed on this site. If it is in your username you will need to change your username. If yours is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended. First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends".

I have added some information to the PAGES section of this Group. PAGES is right underneath the Memebrs Pictures, to the right of the Count Down Clock.

Here is the direct link:

Lorie-Lee - I am sure you could wheel her right up to the seating. I'll post some pics of the PIR hall so you can take a look.

Okay...the pic above… See the yellow lines? Those start off to the left at the big garage door that opens to let your Sailors in. They'll come in in order of their Divisions and march all the way to the other end and make a U-ee, march back and then line up in formation by division. See the closest set of stacked chairs? That is where the first Division of your TG will stand…then it goes on down the line. The 900 Div is in the middle I believe (they come in after...a space is left for them) I believe the 800 Divisions march in last…but don’t quote me on that!

When you come into the Hall you will see Sailors on the floor standing next to Division markers. This is where your Division will be standing for PIR. You should sit in the stands in front of the marker. The markers are positioned so that when you sit in the stands your Division is a little bit to the right of you. There is also seating upstairs in the balcony.

Here is another pic of a Division Marker:

...you can see the Garage Door Entrance open on the left side of the pic...this was before the ceremony. The Divison markers are removed before the ceremony.

Is there a FB page for SR's in Ship 11/div 006? I thought I read about another ship/div with a FB page that is also 11-16 PIR.

Craig, love the pictures!  I was ready to sign up myself, lol.

Danielle - These veteran moms know my humor.  I joke around way too much.  I've got to throw some humor in there just to keep all this stuff fun.  I've been the thorn in the veteran moms side for years now.  Ain't that right FTLW, Lala, Betsy, Diannep...~ha  Believe me, we are all there to help you guys understand the Navy and what your sailor is going through....

btw:  I actually did say "I might have lied just a little about 1/2 down (just to keep this tread fun)."  Ok, I lied a lot.

Danielle - We totally want you guys to understand what your sailors are doing, and what things look like.  When you understand this stuff, then those phone calls home are so much more easier to understand.  You already know most of the stuff they will be talking about....

Might I suggest reading "Boot camp for dummies", and look at the "P-Days".  It will explain all the barracks stuff.

LOL oh ok...I was really thinking our SRs are living in luxury. :-)
Comment by Craig on September 29, 2012 at 10:22pm

The top 4 pictures are the barracks, which are called ships.  All the ships are identical.  The USS Triton Ship 12, is exactly like the USS John F. Kennedy Ship 9, which is the same as the USS Reuben James Ship 2.

They were all contracted together.

The last 4 pictures are only a joke.  I'm just funnin' to keep the these thread fun.
