WELCOME to PIR 11/16/2012

OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance. Please take the time
to read the OPSEC and Community Guidelines. A quick note here: Last Names of Sailors/Recruits are not allowed on this site. If it is in your username you will need to change your username. If yours is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended. First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends".

ConnieT, I have Recruit Training Command Home Page as one of my favorites.  It shows the upcoming graduation schedules and times for the day.  It starts early - gates open at 6:30 a.m. and guests should be seated by 8:45 a.m.  I hope this helps.

Ship 09 Div 002 - Received the call, the box and the letter; would love now to receive a more personal call/letter.  I know I have to wait-trying to be patient.

So excited to have received my SR's form letter. He had left 9/18, got the box 9/21 and the form letter today. He is Ship 09, Div 003. Any other moms with their SR's in this division? PIR is 11/16. Can anybody tell me what time it starts? Trying to figure out what day to leave as we'll have a 15 1/2 hr drive.

Drill instructors=RDC (Recruit Division Commander)
Recruits learn very quickly to call them "Petty Officer", "Chief", "Senior Chief", "Master Chief". Call a Chief  "Petty Officer" and you're sure to be doing push ups until you figure out what you did wrong. Giggling

I received my form letter today, My son is Ship2 Div 901.  PIR 11/16...I was a little disappointed that he didn't write anything personal...just filled in the blanks.  Hoping to get a letter soon.  Have been mailing one each day!

The 900 divisions are performance divisions. Included in 901 would be, band, flag bearers, drill team, body snatchers  etc. They not only do everything all of the rest in BC do, but they also have training for "performing" at the same time.

The 900 divisions are number according to training group since this is TG 01 the 900 division for this PIR is 901.

They will be performing in the two PIRs before theirs as well as their own.
