WELCOME to PIR 11/16/2012

OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance. Please take the time
to read the OPSEC and Community Guidelines. A quick note here: Last Names of Sailors/Recruits are not allowed on this site. If it is in your username you will need to change your username. If yours is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended. First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends".

Who all had recruits ship out of San Diego MEPS  September 18th?

Comment by ellen0502 on September 27, 2012 at 11:35pm

It is not necessary to put the "Recruit Training Command" on the envelope, but if that is how your SR wrote the address on the form letter I personally would include it. My son did write it as part of the address so I did too.

Hi Heather, I bet it will come tomorrow.. interesting thing, Matts return address was Div-003/004, then the form letter said Div-004, so who knows.. anyway we do know Ship 9.  Are you going to PIR?   We will be there!

Where are you guys from?

I am having a mommy day today. All I did was cry and want him back with me. I know this is the best thing for him, it just does not make it hurt any less. I am so looking foward to a letter. I hope one comes soon. I hope everyone else had a good day.

Comment by GSDGirl on September 27, 2012 at 9:12pm

Do you have to put RTC on the envelope? I haven't been, when recruiter gave me the address he didn't say anything about that, and neither did the website, but when I got the form letter today, that was included in the address.

Guess I will start with tomorrows letter I mail out.

We got one of those calls for information from Matt today, Was GREAT to hear his voice, he sounded great, very glad he made the decision to join the Navy, unfortunately he could not talk other than yes and no, but we do know he is in Div. 004, What ever that is.. anyone else know of this division?  hoping his PIR is 11/16/12.  Anxious to know if anyone else has a SR in this group.  Dad..
