WELCOME to PIR 11/16/2012

OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance. Please take the time
to read the OPSEC and Community Guidelines. A quick note here: Last Names of Sailors/Recruits are not allowed on this site. If it is in your username you will need to change your username. If yours is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended. First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends".

Danielle - that is sweet,y son is the oldest of my 6 children, his little sister in 1st grade draws and writes him everyday, she makes up jokes, because I told her we have to help him smile.. They are so cute, and even though most is sounded out phonetically , I just send it anyway.. I think he will love it :)

My Fiance is also on Ship 11 Div 006...I just found this information so I will be putting letters in the mail in the morning. Our daughter is in Kindergarten and comes home everyday from school with a drawing of her daddy on a ship. It brings a smile and tears at the same time.

Hello all!

I am another one of those that pops in. My sons PIR was in April and he has stayed in GL For A School.

For those of you with SRs that will be staying in GL, you will have most of the weekend with your sailor so plan accordingly. If possible leave GL Sunday night or Monday morning.

You will have approx an hour with them after PIR on Friday before they have to go back to their ship at RTC, pack up and move over to the other side for school. A Few hours later you will get a call from them to come get them as they can leave again for the evening.

On Saturday and Sunday they will again be able to leave base from approx 6am to 10pm. They must be back to their ship no later than 10pm so get them back early, it's a long walk if you cannot drive on to base. The same person checking them out must check them back in at night.
