N4M's Community Guidelines
and
OPSEC.

~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.

~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.

~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.

~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:

• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:

• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.

Some Suggestions:

~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.

~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option

~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends"

Good Morning to everyone as well

I phoned the Navy Exchange Photo Lab yesterday and they emailed me their "Initial Order Form for Photo Packages & Frames". Although I have continued to forget bringing this topic up with my recruit during phone calls, I would like to find out if she placed an order. Does anyone know when or if our PIR group has placed their photo order?  Perhaps someone else has remembered and already addressed this with their recruit.

WOW are these photos costly... I better start saving!

Here is the link to RTC website that explains all the RPO positions (Recruit Petty Officers). There is a graph in there somewhere as well showing the hierarchy:

Recruit Petty Officers

These positions are just for the duration of Boot Camp.

Austin'smom - ARPOC (RPOC) = RCPO which is Recruit Chief Petty Officer. This is the Recruit who is directly under the RDC's.

Recruit Chief Petty Officer (RCPO)

The RCPO is the primary recruit assistant to RDCs and is responsible for:

  1. Maintaining good order, discipline, and security within the division at all times.
  2. Ensuring compliance with standing orders and regulations.
  3. Assisting RDCs with implementation of schedules.
  4. Reporting any abnormal condition to RDCs, including violations of good order, discipline and security, when RDCs are not present.

Booked our flight and the navy lodge yesterday. We are flying in on Thursday and was wondering about the meet and greet. What time and where? How do we get information on it ?
Comment by diannep on October 21, 2015 at 9:50am

myhope>  On the sending the paracord, if he asked for it, hopefully he cleared it with his RDCs.  You can write him and ask him if he did, but that would delay him getting it for alot longer.  Sooo....its up to you, but you may want to go ahead and send it.  You can label the outside with what it is.

Good Morning!
