WELCOME to PIR 11/21/2012!

OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance. Please take the time
to read the OPSEC and Community Guidelines. A quick note here: Last Names of Sailors/Recruits are not allowed on this site. If it is in your username you will need to change your username. If yours is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended. First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends".

What are BCG's ? I am still awaiting to get a letter from my SR, hopefully today.

Comment by Kellyd on October 12, 2012 at 3:05pm
I got a letter! Yeah!

He said that boot camp is no fun. He said everything has to be dne a certain way and they get yelled at all the time. They gave him BCG's. he has never needed them but I guess he does now. He also said that he was struggling with the PT. he was worried about that. He lost 35lbs before boot camp. He said I lost the weight but I stink at running.
If he is worried about the PT, should I be overly worried?

Good morning Navy Family; happy Friday :-)

They can buy them at the NEX, BMLMom.  They have a "purchase card" given to them when they arrived to buy supplies.  So no worries!  But you can mail the SRs stamps if you want to!

For anyone with questions about absentee ballot voting for their SRs, please call the Voters Assistance number:

What happens if they didn't take stamps with them? My sons recruiter told us he didn't need to take them!
