OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance. Please take the time
to read the OPSEC and Community Guidelines. A quick note here: Last Names of Sailors/Recruits are not allowed on this site. If it is in your username you will need to change your username. If yours is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended. First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends".

More prayers for Brett....worse than we thought...most of colon removed...stomach/liver damaged.  Back in surgery now to do a femoral bypass --- or else he may not have the use of his right leg.  Awful...but he is amazing the doctors...he should have been dead.  They caught the guy who did this today...YAH to the Jacksonville Police Dept!  Thanks, Ladies!

Here is a pik of Brett with his sister/baby in better days!

I am going to virginia Beach soon and would love to hear from anyone who lives in that area. I am hoping to be able to meet several moms/wives etc from that area and either have a small party or at least all go out to dinner together. If you live in the VA Beach/Norfolk area or close enough to drive and want to join us please send me a friend request or message. I love meeting other Navy Families :-)

Some how my son has been able to get two letters out the door, one to me and another to his best friend from High School.  She intantgramed the envelope that is how I found out she got a letter from my high school son!  Anyway, he says all is good Ship13 Div 15. I am hoping to get a letter from him next week, but I keep writing everyday!

Praying for Brett and his family.  Please keep us updated.  He has a lot to fight for, his wife, unborn child and his 1 1/2 year old.  I will ask my prayer group tonight to pray for him as well.

Update on Brett:  Surgery finished around 1 a.m.  Bullet went under ribcage and hit aorta...sigh...massive bleeding...transfusion...next 8 hours (from now) are critical for him to survive. Dr said had he been older and not in such great shape (personal trainer in addition to Navy job), he would have died.  His grandparents have not been told about this...grandfather has been in a very bad way...hospital for weeks...so they are hoping to be able to tell them "good news" when they make them aware of this.

I told his mom that I asked 7 N4Moms groups to pray for him...she is so very grateful.  Thanks so much ladies!

Good Morning!
