Anybody out there with a loved one in this Division 006. I have heard from my son by letter and by phone call last Friday. I sure do miss him. Does anybody know do the recruits get to spend Thanksgiving Day with us?

My son is also in Div 006. I have heard that they will be on liberty throught Sunday. They just have to go back to the "ship" at night. I'm getting really excited. I can't wait to see him. I wasn't home when Chris called last Friday, but he talked to his Dad for about 20 minutes. I hope he calls tomorrow. I really want to talk to him
My son is the RPO for the division. Sort of like the Chaplin. That would be great if they get liberty until Sunday. We won't be flying home until Sunday night so we are so excited. Donna and KT what are your son's doing after BC. My son will be going to A school in Virginia Beach, VA for Intel School.
We are leaving early Sunday morning. I wish we were staying the whole day. My son is going to A school in San Antonio, TX. He's going to be Master At Arms. I'm not too sure how I feel about that, but that's what he wants. He said he is third in the chain of command at BC, but I'm not really sure what that means other than he has to get up 30 minutes early to get ready and then get the other up! He's not too happy about that!.
Billy will be going to A school in San Antonio for Master of Arms.
My son is also in the same division and going to tx, he is from Fl, the name for the flag holders are called stickmen-( usually 3 males, and 3 females). I don't think we are to use last names as in the post below from Donna (billy's mom) listed his name and last name. We are in boot camp also, and as we will learn it is for security. It gets harder when they are deployed and they can't tell you a location I am not trying to be mean, but going through this now with my oldest who is on a ship. Training starts here for us. I think you should prob. delete the post with names ...sorry .
Thank you for pointing that out to me. I am not sure how this whole thing works someone asked me his last name and I didn't even realize that I had his first and last name posted. Thank you again.
Hi Donna, I was the one that asked your last name when I sent you a private message. It is allowed in PM but not encouraged in open discussions. So looking forward to meeting all the families that have boys in my son's division.
Oh ok.. I am not real sure how to send a private message. All of this is so new and I am not familiar with the site yet. I am trying to learn all of it. I am also lookiing forward to meeting some of the kids and parents. Have you heard from your son lately?
Donna we had a call last friday and had received a letter the day before. We are lucky that our son's gf is so willing to share the letters that he has written to her too. She has received 8 to our 2, but like I said, she is very generous with news. I am just glad he is writing to someone. I have also been fortunate that the questionnaire that I sent the first week came back with a lot of great information. I am waiting for one this week and just sent out a third one today. It seems the best was to get as much knowledge from our son as possible with the least amount of effort.
And if you want to send a private message just go to the person's page you want to message and on the left side of the page it says send a message. That will go into their private message box. Hope that helps. JM
my son may get to stay with me the 24th to the 27th...he has to be back on base sat before 9 pm.....it may only be 3 days but ill enjoy every moment,,
Exactly Shana. I am so excited to see my son. I know all the other parents are also. Well I hope today will bring a letter or something. I have sent several letters to my son and received 2. I hope that you all hear from your sons/daughters soon also.
