N4M's Community Guidelines
and
OPSEC.

~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.

~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.

~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.

~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:

• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:

• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.

Some Suggestions:

~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.

~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option

~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends"

Just got a call from my son DIV 903. (Not sure why he was able to make calls this Monday morning) He had 4 wisdom teeth pulled last week. Doing good and on track. He is looking forward to first aid training and shooting. As of today, his DIV is on training week 3 and Day 2.

This has been an amazing weekend, My SR (female) 11/020 Called on Saturday afternoon and we chatted for 20+ minutes. She sounded amazing- very confident- driven-calm-collected. I had not heard her speak this way before. I am beyond proud. She passed her swim test so well they had to take the harder test and she passed that. She needs to pass the timed run and then her physical testing is completed. She is looking forward to PIR and so happy all three of us are going. It was IFFY if her dad would get the time off. Then today her boyfriend came to church. He is home for 10 days leave before he is off to California, He looks and sounds amazing, I have a few pictures of him to put in the next letter I write our SR.

I hope y'all got calls this weekend and I pray we all have a great week. My SR a mail PO for 020 and she said letters would be going out tonight. Looks like Thursdays are mail days for us Mom's and wife's. Have a blessed weeks. 31 days Woohoo..

I just have to thank everyone for continuing to update me (us) on all of your calls and letters. It is such a wonderful feeling to know that my future Sailor (husband) is not alone and is dealing with many of the same emotions. As for me as well, it is extremely comforting to read and hear about how you all are feeling. It makes days like today not seem so lonely. 30 more days my friends!

Yea! 10 minute call from my SR (06/026). Doing great and soooo wonderful to hear from him! Phones sure are an issue, he had to hang up 4x before I could hear him. If you get a call and can't hear your SR tell them to go to another phone! He is still dealing with his knee issues, but still on target to PIR on 11/24. Hope you all hear from your SR soon!

Through this forum my family has been able to begin a relationship with two other families with SR's in the same Division and all three SR's doing the same thing on the Rifle Drill team. It's a great blessing!
