Good morning everybody! One day closer to graduation! I am wondering how important is Sarge's greet and meet? It sounds like there is alot of important info there so we know the schedule for the next few days.  I am debating flying in early Tuesday or later in the day(which would not give time to make to the greet) what do you ladies suggest?  Is the information given something we surely should not miss?

Bookster, I am really afraid to name names on the hotels. The ones we have heard to worst stories about are the hotels that have the really low prices. I would look at the reviews for the hotel you have booked. If you send me a message with the name of your hotel I will tell you what I have  heard about it. I will say most people love the Navy Lodge, Springhill Suites, Residence Inn and Courtyard :)

I posted all that info in my own PIR group the Monday or Tuesday after I got back.  Then diannep suggested that I save it and share it for all future PIR groups, so here it is, 20 months later!!  (Thank the Lord for Copy and its sibling, Paste!)

Yes, I had Sarge take my Sailor daughter back to save me time.  I didn't know how hectic it would be to take her to RTC and drop her off in the right area.  I tried to catch up on sleep before leaving at 12:30 am to get to Midway Airport, which is a very easy (albeit long) drive at that hour!

Hello! Fireteamleaderwife here. You can call me FTLW, it's easier :-)

My Sailor PIR’d in 05/2011. He is a Seabee Reservist. I have been an AF (Security Forces) Reservist wife for 28 years…I know …not Navy…but I am somewhat familiar with military life! We have been through two Deployments. Now working on Retirement process from AF and soon from Civilian job. Our son enlisted while Hubby was in Iraq. This site was a Godsend and helped me get through not only our sons BC experience but my husbands and my separation for 6 months.

I am a “veteran” mom on the PIR groups mostly.

Ok, Schools in  here goes...

The DDG-51 is the CVN# (Cruiser aViation or Voler - means to fly- Nuclear) that is on the Hull of the actual Ship that Ship 04 is named after. DDG-51 is a  Guided Missile Destroyer named for Admiral Arleigh A. Burke. She is the lead ship in the Arleigh Burke class.

7103 is the Building number for Ship 04

All of the buildings on a base are numbered like this:

b-01 is the Compartment number on the Ship.

2015 is for the Fiscal Year. Fiscal year for all branches of Military is October 1.

802M - is Division 802 and is all Male.
