Bookster: I agree with CatMom. It is always more economical to rent a car if you can.....there are deals out there. CatMom has an Enterprise discount code up above in her PIR Pertinent Tips discussion.
Sorry for the missed calls, but like CatMom said, they happen no matter how hard you try not to miss one. I'm amazed that when my son was up there back in 2009, somehow I managed to receive his calls on my home phone....very lucky! I did miss a cell call once and it was a "need info" call, so no message. Those are hard because you notice the missed call, but no message is allowed when it is a need info call (supervised). So if anyone get a missed call and no message, try not to worry. If they still need the info, RTC will have them call back another time. In my son's case, they found out what they needed to know without me, so I had to wait another 2 weeks to hear from him on a personal call to find out about it.
Good Morning!
Bookstar,
Better to rent the car at the airport because you will pay $50 one way from the airport to your hotel already!! My car rental with Enterprise Rent-A-Car was $124 for Thursday to Saturday.
I'm going to post my "Pertinent PIR Tips" up in the Discussion Forum now. Please check it out, everyone!!
It's really okay. In the grand scheme of things, your SR will call again. Maybe this week, maybe next Saturday. Make sure your phone is fully charged and put it on "vibrate" and in your pocket or bra if you will be some place noisy. He knows you love him and you WILL hear from him, so don't beat yourself up about it~~
On the West Coast, calls will come in from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm, Great Lakes time from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm, and East Coast from 9:00 am to 9:00 pm.
addgrey,
You can check them out on Yelp! It looks promising, especially if an all-you-can-eat buffet~~
Welcome, Bookster!!
Found another Thanksgiving dinner option- anyone know anything about this place? http://lakehouselb.com/thanksgiving-2014/
Lobster and Steak, huh? Well, they sure can't complain about the food! A great 'treat' for your SRs in honor of the Navy's birthday!
Blessed Sunday!

for the sake of your name lead me and guide me."
