I was on the Navy face book and called PAO and they specified the following...

U.S. Navy Recruit Training Command A Grad & Go recruit is a recruit that is staying in Great Lakes and checking into their A School the same day as graduation. All other recruits will have at least all of Friday for liberty. Some recruits will fly out early Saturday morning to their next command, however, only your recruit can confirm his/her exact departure date and time.

Hi everyone my daughter is in ship 07 div 043. I just got a phone call from her last night. So far so good. I was so happy to hear from her. Has any one else in this ship/div heard from their child?

Thanks Lynne, I got an email from Brian @ PAO and he reassured me not to fret about the deadline, as some of the RDC's have just given their recruits the BLUE FORM. So if you haven't gotten the form yet, it should be on its way! I am so excited, I cannot wait.

JudieK-I will be taking your son out on the "buddy system"

And all you fellow SC ladies, I cannot wait to get out there and meet all of you!!

Logansmama - I am so sorry for the small set back. I will be praying for your SR to obtain the self control he needs to succeed to PIR. I continuously pray for my son everyday; any additional prayers would be greatly apprecaited.

For those of you wondering about the Adopt the Sailor program for Christmas yo have been granted an extention and I quote "We are extending the deadline by a few days after the 15th. As long as you fax the form into the Public Affairs Office by the end of next week, you will meet the deadline."

Thanks Surfermom! I know we have to change our flights now and they were air miles so that is a pain and we will have to pay a penalty I assume. The good news is that he didn't lose his job. We thought he might lose his Advanced Electronics but Thank the Lord he didn't now it is 51 days until we see him. He is very sad to have to leave his ship and division, but if you play you pay I guess. I pray that your SR is keeping his mouth shut too. Thanks for the uplifting words, I appreciate it more than I can say. All the best to you and your SR. Take Care.
