ProudGMBarb - You should call the Public Affairs Office at 847-688-2405, thats how my boyfriend's mom found out about my boyfriend. I hope for you to hear good news!

bluewarriorlady, hang in there. I'm on pins and needles too. Grandson (who had knee injury) said he was doing BattleStations last night. Still no word from him either.  We (and his other two grandparents) are supposed to fly out tomorrow morning. Breathe in...breathe out...breathe in...breathe out.

Bluewarriorlady - I'll keep you and your husband in my prayers. Thats what I thought until I didn't hear from him and neither did my boyfriends mom, so I wrote on the facebook page "U.S. Navy Recruit Training Command" & they told me to have his mom call 847-688-2405 which is the number for the Public Affairs Office. You should call them so you can find out.

Oh man. I wonder what this means for my hubby. Haven't heard from him yet. If he was not graduating, they would've let him call right?

Nicole - I am so sorry. Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers.

ProudGMBarb - I know, I'm so proud of him. I wish I knew when he will be going to A school since he has to be in boot camp longer now.Thats a good idea about the party! Have you heard from your grandson yet?

Navyfam - Thank you for the advice, it means a lot! I know, it's really hard finding this out now :'( You're right, its all about him accomplishing that goal in the end. I didn't know that about your daughter, I'm sorry to hear that. I know exactly what you mean by feeling helpless & feeling like you have to be strong for them. I can't even imagine what he is feeling right now :'( Tamme - Thank you, you're right!

nicole, I feel so badly for you. Like others have said, it's no comfort right now, but he still will be a U.S. sailor soon. You'll have to plan on having a big party (or private one!) for him as soon as he gets his first leave to come see you. Hang in there, the future he has waiting for him will be worth it...for both of you.

Nicole, I am so sorry.  My heart aches for him, you and all your family.  He will succeed though and be a successful Sailor.  God Bless.

Nicole~I am so sorry...it is so hard after you are so looking forward to the graduation and gear yourself up for the pomp and circumstance (ceremony).  I'll keep your BF and you in my prayers. I agree with love our recuit...He will be a SAILOR! I believe diannep said in the end it's about him accomplishing that goal.

Again I realize this isn't very comforting right now and I totally understand your feelings...I don't know if you knew or not but my daughter was sent home @ week 4 on medical discharge (she can re-enlist in 6 months) but I know the disappointment and feeling of helplessness and then feeling like you have to be strong for your recruit! It is hard and only through God's strength do we make it through these tough times.

Take care, I sent you a friend request and you can private message me if you like..I am here for you.

Hang in there....you are a good girlfriend and everything will work out! Take care.
