@ lex: There is a MeetNGreet before every PIR...held at the Ramada Waukegan for all Navy families with PIR the next day...not just Navy for Moms families. It is put on by the Ramada....with appetizers and a cash bar (many bring their own drink). It is from 6-8 the night before PIR. Unless your group decides to have its own MeetNGreet elsewhere. What is kind of fun to do is to go to the Ramada's and meet new families who don't know about this site (you can introduce them to it!) and then have a dinner together afterwards as a N4M group at a place like Anastasia's or Flannigans. That way you get the benefit of meeting new people and also will have "fellowship" with those in this group at the restaurant afterwards.

If you want to do this and are expecting alot at the restaurant, someone here will need to let them know numbers ahead of time so they can reserve space for you.

I am getting desperate for news!!! It has been 22 days since I walked away from my son and I have not received our first good phone call or any letters from him.. He is Ship 2 Div 908, I have seen on here that they may have been delayed due to the Div filling and also may have had some trouble. I am very happy that you all have had some letters or calls. Sorry guess I am just venting. Thanks for listening and reading.

We're flying into Midway. I know that it's a bit farther from Waukegan where we're staying (Ramada Waukegan), but we'll have all day to make our way there... it will be an adventure. I was thinking we would definitely rent a car, but then thought it might be fun to use the trains and subways. A train goes right from downtown Chicago to Waukegan.... it's not very fast, though. The plane ride from Buffalo is shorter! :) We'll see. We've never been to Chicago... this is like a mini family vacation for us!

Hey everyone! It's been another long day of being sick. Glad to know that one person got a letter and that Div 41 is probably not grad n go! I'm still anxious for a phone call...
DramaboysMom - I am in Belleville right now, going to school at Detroit Mercy. Getting my PhD in Clinical Psychology! School never ends! Ahhh!!

How is everyone doing today? Once again..sorry I'm so late. I just got my military dependent ID today, and I've been looking for doctors. I'm also still really sick. This stinks!
