Mom39: Don't know if you saw the post earlier today on here from navyfam and kjconner, but they mentioned the following website for transport from the airport to your hotel:
www.airportexpress.com
You can check that out to see if that works for you. Seems a little pricey if you have more than one or two going, but worth checking out. And, no, we know of no hotels that have shuttles to transport to and from the airport.

Our kids sang that song as little kidlets! Ahh the memories of loooongggg car rides and kids cassette tapes. You know you have become attached to the "sesame street" cassette (or CD) too long when you continue to listen to it on the way to work, with no kids in the car. ( worse case? it's summer, the windows are down and you are singing the songs.... loudly. Been there, done that... got the shirt!!)

Am I reading this correctly?...Hotel shuttles also are taxis? Does this mean that we can have the hotel where we will be staying at pick us up from the airport? Please say that this is so...b/c it would be so much easier! I did see that some shuttles might, but I would like to be sure. Thanx!

Lynne thanks for the 'beating' fish song...I will definitely add it to my next letter tomorrow. He seems quite impressed with all the info I have been able to ask him about or question him on. But he said he didn't expect anything less from me ~ Mom! I found out he is Grad N Go (his whole DIV is) can't say I was to happy but will be glad to see him at graduation and whatever time we will have to visit. I really can't wait to just HUG him again:-)

Lynne-I worked in a daycare for quite a few years and I use to sing this song with my preschool class. I can picture my 6'2" sailor singing this song....hahaha it def. but a smile on my face I will def. ask him about this song (=

Does anyone know where to find the name and address of the storage facility near the base? Think it was called Lock and Store or something, can't seem to find it again.
Comment by Lynne on November 30, 2010 at 10:22pm
I had a little fishy, his name was Tiny Tim
I put him in the bathtub, to see if he could swim.
He drank up all the water, and ate up all the soap.
And when he was finished he went glope, glope, glope.

This is the fishy song...recruits sing this as a part of a "beating". They have to lay on the ground...lift their arms, legs and head. They sing the songs and move their legs and arms like scissors for a LONG, LONG, LONG, time....lol~~ Ask your recruits about it...they will be impressed you know the words!!
