karla-They took their swim test, physical test and had an academic test. Thank goodness my hubby passed them all. He did say though, it is a rumor in the division that everyone in 042 is grad-n-go. He said they haven't got much information on it yet, but he will keep me informed. Kinda crappy news.

Lala - I don't think I'm very clear about where we go to order ribbons. Is there a link somewhere that I should be finding?

Good Morning everyone, It feels like days since I have been on here. I missed you guys :-) My sailor got to come home for Thanksgiving. We had a great family meal, went shopping at 4 am on Friday, put the Christmas tree up on Saturday, celebrated her birthday on Sunday early afternoon and then she had to go back to VA. I miss her already. She will turn 21 on Wednesday. I am hoping I can figure out a way to have cupcakes delivered to her AO Class Wed afternoon. I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. Thanks for all the ribbon orders that I got from you all this weekend. I look forward to making your ribbons and I know you will be wearing them with pride to PIR. :-)

Lynne Love your post! There are a few people I'd like to take behind the wood shed...for a tea party...LOL Thanks for all of your encouragement and knowledge! It means alot :) Glad to hear your sailor is coming home on the 18th!

Dianne Thanks for your encouragement, support and knowledge as well! Good suggestion on the gift cards!

We are going to send pre-paid visa cards soon as our daughter has asked for them to pay for pictures! They are quite expensive if the order the A pkg which comes w/the yearbook "The Keel" and no DVD it is $140, dvd $29. See Jessicab"s post a couple of days ago on the breakdown. We thought we may just send her an ample amount and use it aa Christmas/Graduation present and then send a package when she gets to A school.

Great idea, Karla! You might check online today for those because I heard on GMA this morning that since this is cyber "Black Friday," even some gift cards, certificates, etc are on sale!

Thanks, diannep! Just making sure! My older son suggested everyone in our family send Amazon gift certificates. Amazon has printable gift cards so that way there is no actual card even to send. It could be included in a christmas card and then later he can get anything he wants! I thought that was a pretty great idea!
Comment by diannep on November 29, 2010 at 11:05am
No, you are correct, Karla. I'm talking about once they are in A School and can receive packages.
