JessicaB--thanks for that letter. I would hate to have people freak out when they saw the fbi standing on their doorstep. It's exciting to expect, but makes you nervous too! I can't wait though. Wonder if they will let me take pictures? :) ha

Hi Vanessa I read yesterday that they may have been delayed by a week because their division did not fill as quickly. My son accually got there on the 9th of Nov and he was put into a division after some that got there a day or two later. I'm with you seeing that some have gotten their first phone call and first letters I am extremely happy for them but it just killed me that I still hadn't received anything in the mail yesterday. Being on this site helps a lot after your done your crying time for the day. I have listed the Meet & Greet at the Ramada on our group. Hang in there.

Is it normal to feel angry at my husband for going to boot camp? I think I have hit every emotion possible, including anger. I feel terrible that I feel that way though. I'm sure it could just be the pregnancy hormones, but I am happy for him, proud of him, missing him, and now even almost angry at him all at one time. I am angry that he left me here, alone, with no family and pregnant. I hope this is just a phase Im going through because with this anger I dont even want to write him a letter in fear of I'll say something terrible.

Keep all of us with SR's in ship 02 div 908 in your prayers... people on here have been receiving phone calls & letters... we have yet to get anything. Thanksgiving was hard, and every day is a waiting game... just can't wait to get SOMETHING.

Thank You to all you veteran MOM's who have commented this has been a great help and I look forward to helping in the future. Can't wait for the day I say I am a veteran Boot Camp Mom. Does anyone know what the procedure is to start a Meet & Greet. I have reservations at the Residence Inn starting January 13.

It was mentioned earlier to bring cash for t-shirts and for spending at the NEX for Navy things. What kinds of things are there for families to buy? What are some of the HOT items everyone seems to want? Are their things the sailors like to buy after graduation? Just thinking ahead!
