Vanessa- I agree I was so excited when I saw it was posted finally! 51 days =]

Karla- I think it may make it a little bit longer but I'm sure not too much longer. Either way the ceremony is beautiful and we will get to see our sailors as soon as it is over!

I am so happy it is posted under "upcoming graduations"! I have been checking every day. For some reason, it makes it feel closer to know that it can be considered "upcoming". Lol.

11 divisions! I think I'm glad I made our reservations way early! Does having more divisions make for a longer ceremony? It should be pretty cool to see!

14 is completely massive! I don't even know what that would look like. when my brother had his PIR there were only 8 divisions and that looked amazing to see all of them in uniform. Can't imagine what 11 or 14 would look like!.

Navyfam-I actually do have that book, it's my baby bible! Thats a good idea. Thanks

NS: They actually have 14 divisions sometimes. That was the 9/2 PIR group recently. But 11 divisions is a good-sized group!

Anyone else in this PIR with recruits headed to Defense Language Institute in Monterey?
Comment by navyfam on November 23, 2010 at 12:17pm
Ash-do you have the book : What to Expect When You Are Expecting? If so maybe you can look up where you are in your pregnancy and write it from that perspective; ie. my heart is beating and my fingernails have just now formed, and I am x inches long.... Just a thought I am not the most creative person but just an idea.

Just checked the site that lists how many divisions will be at the 1/14 PIR. There are 11. I think that's the biggest they get. Just thought I'd let everyone know that it is finally up there!

It's kind of exciting to see that it's up there already! 51 days <3
