Hi Blessedsailormom...finally, been asking around for other mom to no avail until now. So happy to know that there are other families in my son's division and it mightn't actually be a made up div. I have not gotten a letter but was told that it is his div.

A little bit about myself: First I have a sailor who happens to be a daughter. She is married to a sailor so if you find yourself in a situation like that let me know because you will have tons of questions. My sailor, daughter, was in boot camp this summer. She was in the performing division and was part of the choir. She had wisdom teeth pulled and she was a stick. She had A-school in Pensacola at NAS and is almost finished with C-school in VA. She is an AO. After boot camp she was a grad and go and was one of the unfortunate few who left on a chartered flight :(. My son-in-law had PIR just a couple weeks ago although he did not participate in the ceremony because of a family emergency. He is now in A-school, also in Pensacola but he is at Corey Station. And lastly, I am the mom who makes the ribbons for families to wear to PIR and/or the Meet and Greet. Many of you have already sent me messages about the ribbons. You can see pics on my page and my profile pic as well. If you have any questions ask away or if you prefer you can send me a friend request and I will be happy to help you. Again, Welcome!!!!

Hi everyone, I just wanted you to know that I am a somewhat seasoned mom who is here to help with any questions you may have. you will get to know diannep, and jessicaB who are a wealth of information. And you have already met Lynne who has lots to offer as well. We have all had different experiences and are here to pay it forward and help you in any way we can. I think we are quite possibly addicted to this site lol. So if you need anything ask and I am sure one of us if not all of us will help you find the answers to your questions. WELCOME to our Navy Family. :-)

Glad you like them...Jessica has many more...
Check out the Facebook RTC page...they have a picture of Captain Bethke talking to the recruits in what appears to be their smurf suits...these are the sweat suits they are first issued when they get to boot camp and they get very tired of them as they live, sleep, eat in them initially...

navyfam- It's very likely she will be same PIR but it depends on how quickly her division fills up. Someone should receive the form letter within the next week! Keep us posted on it! Hope you are holding up okay with her being gone!

Hi everyone! My son has been at GL since Nov 9th. I did not get that quick call when he got there but I have received his box and form letter. I was relieved that he seems to be doing OK. Any one else SHIP 12 DIV 41?

Hi all, my daughter arrived in GL Nov. 10th so I'm thinking her PIR is also 1/14/2011. Does anyone know? I haven't received the formal letter....but her boyfriend may get it instead of us. Thanks for setting up this group! She is in Ship 7 div 044, according to what her recruiter told the boyfriend.
