..and yes, my son was setback (asmoed) a week.  He still became a sailor and that's what matters!  Your bf will be one soon!

nicole:  I'm so sorry that this is happening to him...but remind him...that once he becomes a sailor, it doesn't matter how he got there!  He did it!  Hopefully he can finish out with his PIR group...but if not, it will work out.  Just keep encouraging him!

Hey ladies! I just wanted to say goodbye to ya'll and say thank you for all the advice and support you've given me. I am going to be so busy this next week getting ready that I probably won't have time to check anything on here. I am so glad I got to know some of you, and without the friendships I made on here I don't think I would've made it through this past 2 months! I wish all of you and your Sailor's the best of luck in the future. I hope you all have a great day on 1/14/11 and are able to enjoy the time with your sailors.

HOOOOOYAH ladies, we did it!!!!

Nicole-I am so sorry to hear about your boyfriend...I will continue to keep him in my prayers.  It is understandable for him to be down and you are doing the right thing by encouraging him and praying! We do have power in prayer! You are right everyone is proud of him! It isn't his fault that he got sick.

Hopefully he will be able to do Battle Stations with another division and graduate on time.

Diannep would be able to shed more light on this as her son was set back in boot camp...Not to say your BF will be set back...just saying she knows a whole lot more than I do.

Take care and hang in there! We are all pulling for your boyfriend and you :)

Thank you everyone for keeping my boyfriend in your prayers! I just got off the phone with him and he told me that hes been in hold since he left the hospital on Thursday. He said that he was heading back to boot camp to find out whats going to happen. He still doesn't know if he will be able to graduate or if he will have to join another division. I wish that I could be there for him right now because he sounds so down :( I told him that no matter what happens, everyone is so proud of him ! Please continue to keep him in your prayers!

@gmaof6 - My son is attending A school in Great Lakes and my understanding is that they're not allowed to take anything back with them just yet. I believe it's going to have to be mailed to them.

For the sailors going to A school in Great Lakes, what personal items will they be allowed.  Our sailor is asking for jeans and sweater, I know to bring clothes to relax in at the hotel other than that just how much can they have???

Yeah...Just got off the phone with my SR  his dive 908 won the Captains Cup today and got rewarded with time off and phone calls.   So excited to hear from him and he sounds the best he has yet.  Div 908's BS has changed from the 9th to Monday night, he didnt say why.  He got his orders and does not have to be in Groton till the 29th, so I am going to call and see if he can fly home instead of Groton,  we only live about two hours away and can bring him ourselves.  Will keep you posted and HOO YAHHH for the 908's

I'm trying so hard to keep calm and to wait for the call but I just want to cry till I get to hear from him! I could not sleep last night like I was going to see him today! I'm so ready for 1-14 and the next few days too!
