I know, I can't believe it is finally almost here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  I have been praying for the boys today.  I am not sure when my SR does BS21 or has his written test.  So proud of these SR's and all of us.  We are making it.  I told my SR when I talked to him, I am also going through a sort of bootcamp.  This is making us strong, patient, and focused...........

mamabear: I'm pretty much new to the Navy too! This is pretty exciting, don't yout think??!! We are supporting our grandson, who is more like a son to us. Thank goodness for the mom's here who have been through this before and can help provide so much info, support, and put our minds at ease! I just know that our grandson is sooooo happy with his decision to be in the Navy, he is doing awesome so far, has had no complaints, and is very proud of himself. So we can't be anything but happy and proud of him as well !!!

diannep:  Howdy...just catching up reading. Yes, my hubby thought the wheelchair service would be good. It was unfortunate he had to have this done now, but such is life!!! He normally is a super active guy, so it is hard for him too. I'll all call Public Affairs as you suggested. His friends have been popping in and out of here to visit, so things have been hopping around here and taking me away from the computer!!! I need something like a miner's helmet and instead of the light to see with, it would have a little pc and monitor hanging down in front of my face so I can stay connected wherever I go!!!

Kate/bluewarriorlady:  If your sailors are not on a charter to Groton (no visits then), then you should be able to visit with them at the airport on Sat...extra special time with them!  Hopefully you can get a military gate pass from the airlines and visit at the gate with them until they leave.

I am not sure, but i think more less it will only be for a few hours then they will have to get back on base at 9pm. The PIR schedule is on line...actually let me find it for you in case you do not know where...

http://www.bootcamp.navy.mil/grad_day.asp

On the schedule it says liberty expires between 8-9 pm.

Mine is in div 041. I'm coming up on Thursday. Are they leaving at 0230 (or close to it)? Or are they leaving later on in the morning? I am wondering if they will be able to get an overnight at least. :-/
