It was not included in any of the information.  I assume when we get to the gate we will be directed to the visitors center where we will meet them.

Do any of you ladies know how pick up will go on Christmas day? Are they waiting for us outside or do I have to park and hike my pregnant butt into a building and try to find my sailor and NS boyfriend?! I figured I should I try to find this out BEFORE I get there. I like to be prepared.

Got an letter yesterdat(12-20) dated 12-16 from our SR. Said they had Marlinspike. Passed with 12 bells, Said their brother DIV had 66 bells.....  Sounds much more positive about them finally coming together as a team.   He said only one person can come out to the  Dining Hall to get them then in parenthesis (MOM).  Dad is so understanding and said " Of course he wants you...  I've already done this on the same end he is on!  I don't need to go see that part again!"  (tee hee)  Found out he doesn't leave for  Goose Creek until 19-JAN so made the hotel reservations for the weekend tonight.  He is excited about A school.  Said he can have his car after 4 weeks,   I will have to convince him to wait for his car until we can come down to the area on our spring break.

Well, so much for my ok news... Ash I know you will be there for Chirstmas, but I can't remember is Blue Warrior going to be there, too?

Glad I am still working this week.  Makes the week go faster for me.

Thanks diannep for ALL the great information!

Can't wait to get the letters for this week to see how Gas Chamber went for DIV 040.

I feel like a little kid anxious for Christmas to get gifts but all I want is a phone call from my son; to hear his voice!

23 days & counting.......

redsmom:  Also, on the mail close to the end of bc.  We are told that it will be forwarded to them, but I have heard that doesn't always happen (letters get lost). So we advise people to stop writing to them about a week before PIR...or at least print a copy of those letters to hand to your new sailor at PIR in case they didn't arrive.  As far as the recruits writing to you, I think they can continue as long as they want to.

redsmom:  BattleStations for this group can run anywhere from 1/6 through 1/12.

They usually start Thurs night a week before PIR...none on Fri or Sat nights (Captains Cup on Sat), can resume on Sun-Wed nights.

You all can start asking your recruits about it next week...they may get dates by then.  Please post dates that you are told for your recruit's division so we can get a schedule up.

Any idea when they will run BS21 for the DIV in theis PIR? I would like to send an extra card wishing my son & his whole DIV GOOD LUCK ahead of time?

Is it true that the recruits stop writing home a certain amount days before PIR? Will their mail be routed accordingly if some arrives after boot camp has concluded?

Sorry so many darn questions today to many thoughts running through my head....
