Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Looks like it could be a white Christmas on the southern shores of Lake Michigan.  For all of you driving to see your SR, keep safe. and travel smart. To those flying, good luck and positive thoughts about great flying weather.  To the rest, we will hug as many recruits as we can... and tell them to pass it around!!

Ash-Congrats on having a girl!  She'll have Daddy wrappped around her little finger in no time! Love the names.  You'll get lots of pink things...people love buying girls clothes :)

NavyFam- thanks for the invite, I signed up to follow over there as well. Sorry to hear about your daughter, hopefully she will get better and be able to re-enlist if that is her choice. Thanks for the prayers - I have been saying them as well, for all the whole division.

@Ash ~ congrats! Girls are so precious especially to their Daddies! She will be the apple of his eye; just saying.

So HAPPY for you who received phone calls and heard good news. Praying for the rest of US to get one too! Dying to hear my son's voice again. It's been too long :(

Finished my CHristmas shopping yesterday....now on to wrapping; bah humbug dislike this part hurst my back!

Thanks everyone! Eric was just so excited to have a "daddy's little princess!" We have two names so far that we both like: Rorie and Karoline! But we still have time (= Thanks for all the love and support.
