I'm sorry, I wasn't clear on my question.  We already have a buddy assigned to our SR but I was wondering if they let you take more than one buddy.

It is so awesome that some of you are able to go to Great Lakes and see your SR's for Christmas. And to let them bring a "Buddy" even better. That is so exciting.

If anyone still wants to get ribbons to wear to PIR it is NOT too late. Just let me know or better yet send me a friend request and I will send the info back to you. They would make a great in-expensive Christmas gift as well and I can wrap them and send them to whoever you want just be sure and let me know they are for a gift and I will send them out ASAP.

You can request the buddy, but the buddy should know, and you and your SR should communicate on the details. I put NS's boyfriend on my blue form, and it was approved. I think it has to be same gender and same div. If you still are confident in my answer just call PAO. They are really helpful

Does anyone know if you are allowed to request another buddy?  I have a name of another fellow in my son's division.

Ash-Thanks for the prayers! You are right, God has a plan & she can re-enlist in 6 months with a medical clearance if she wants to.  Not sure what will happen but support her choice either way.

Tamme-No my daughter is not sammilyn.

Diannep-Yes I am so glad to have you praying as well. I promise to keep in touch, how could I not!

You all are so supportive & loving!

opentable.com lists 74 restaurants in Chicago open.  Plus the sears tower, Navy Pier Imax.....mostly I think if they have down time and access to cell phones and or computers for facebook etc they will be thrilled!

navyfam:  You certainly know that I am praying for your whole family!  Please stay in touch!

Navyfam, is your daugther sammilyn?  She has posted that she has been medically discharged and wanted to touch base with other 45 Division family members.  I sent her my e-mail address to communicate off site.  That is so thoughtful of her.

BlueWarrior-NS and I are going to Chicago for Christmas to see our recruits. We did have to mail in the Blue "Adopt A Sailor" form (it's mandatory to be able to get your recruit and a "buddy" out) We are staying at the Navy Lodge (thanks to my Military ID) and spending the day either in Chicago or just around Great Lakes, depending on weather. I hope you and your recruits family are able to make the trip, I know your husband would be happy to see you and your "little peanut"
