N4M's Community Guidelines
and
OPSEC.

~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.

~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.

~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.

~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:

• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:

• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.

Some Suggestions:

~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.

~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option

~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends"

Most of the hotels in the area DO offer the Navy Grad discount but, yes, you have to call the hotels directly to ask for it.  Also compare to other discounts you are entitled to....we used our AAA discount when there which worked better for us.  But check them all out!

Good Morning!

Oh--forgot--don't call the 1800#--they don't know about the discount--call the hotel directly.  Libertyville #847 549 7878

Sean at the HIE said it was a Navy group discount--you have to be sure to tell them that you are coming there to stay for the RTC graduation from bootcamp and have been told hotels offer special rates for that to help parents out. We have AARP, (early enroll) and they beat that discount. Hope that helps a bit.

Hubby booked us online for Holiday Inn express, if they will give a better discount let me know. I'll make him call and request the discount if there is a better one.

We're booked at Holiday Inn Express Libertyville too but when I called they gave us the same price as online.   I'll have to call again.   Thanks for the tip!

For 12/4 graduation, this is Hell Week (Week 4) for our SRs. From what I've read, this is a week of must pass tests for what they have learned so far, small fire arms and rifle training and testing (they can medal and ribbon here), testing on this week's lessons and lots more. One former recruit (now sailor) stated that it was the most stressful week of all for them. Sending prayers and positive thoughts to all of our SRs this week. HOOYAH to all SRs!!!

We stayed at a Holiday Inn Express in MD at Ft Meade and it was nice. We are booked at Holiday Inn Express in Libertyville--great Navy discount for graduation (be sure to mention that you are there (whichever hotel) for the graduation and ask for any available discounts. Sean in reservations at the hotel itself (not the toll free #--they connected me to the hotel) was a huge help! Very knowledgeable too.

Hi Friends!

"Who are those who fear the Lord?

He will show them the path they should choose."

                                                            Psalm 25:12

Mybigson:  The box can take up to 2 weeks or longer to receive.  Sometimes the SRs donate their clothes or throw them away...and send nothing home.  They have to pay to send the box home and they don't want to pay.  So you may not get a box.  He cannot keep his phone, however, so if he has that, you should be getting a box (check his shoes for the phone probably separated from the battery).

Chapel viewing of the Livestream is not guaranteed....but they try to accommodate.  All need ID.  There is a separate line for the Livestream in the Chapel......there is no limit on the number of people who can come....but again, no guarantee....there is no food/drink allowed in there, they are ushered into the Visitors Center.....then into the Chapel....then back to the Visitors Center where you will meet them....if there is a glitch in the Livestream....they must remain in there until PIR is over anyway (90 min).  Your Chapel guests can start out with you in the line at the gate, but will be directed to the Chapel line when you check in. You will meet your guests after PIR in the Visitors Center.....a sailor on base can direct you to them after PIR.  There is seating in the Chapel....

Good Morning All !
