Thanks so much ladies. We were thinking it would be that Friday but just wanted to be sure. Have you received your letters yet?

Tammy,
That's what I am doing as well. I counted 9Fridays. I feel pretty sure this is the date. :)

Hi moms, I'm just reading your comments and I've been anxiously awaiting my form letter from my son. I wasn't sure when his PIR would be but I've read some of your SRs arrived on 10/7 and that's when my son arrived. Hope to get my letter tomorrow. Do you think it's safe to assume his PIR will be 12/5 too?

Hi Moms, I have booked at the Marriott and looking forward to meeting many of you at the Meet and Greet on 12/4/14.  I am lighting blue candles every night for our children.

Sherri,

You're so welcome!  Bible scripture is so comforting and true!!

The number of guests per sailor allowed at PIR is determined by the number of divisions in this PIR group.  12 or under = 4 guests; 13 or higher = 3 guests.  4 guests is the most common.  RTC will eventually post your PIR group on their website with the number of guests allowed.  It usually is the same number as the form letter, but occasionally there is an error.  My "guess" is that this group will have 4 guests!  No matter how they wrote the names in this form letter, the SRs update the list a week before PIR with the proper names. That updated list will remain with the gate personnel for PIR day.

Garretsproundmomma:  When my son was there, when he used his calling card, it came up" pay phone" (on home phone) with 847 area code---the most common area code for Bootcamp.  Now, we recommend that you all answer all calls when you have someone in Bootcamp just in case.  Occasionally a call may be made from another Chicago area code.

407 is an Orlando FL number.  I have a feeling that was not a call from your SR so try not to worry!
