For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Please correct me if I am wrong, but the form letter is not needed to enter for PIR only the vehicle gate pass. Just getting my "ducks" in a row.... 5 Days!! HOOYAH!!

Thank you for all of your support, this going out to each and everyone that has given so much to all of us new moms, wives, and girlfriends during this, the beginning of our journey for our SR's, and soon to be SAILORS!! I know I will need additional support and advise once my sailor departs for A school, and then when deployed. As BC was only the beginning of their journey.
I have made wonderful friendships with some amazing ladies and look forward to meeting you* (you know who you are) in person. I thank GOD for all of the wonderful blessings and great friendships made!

I missed calls from my SR on Thanksgiving due to power outages because of a horrible storm here in New England. Does anyone know where Ship 13/Div 29 went for Thanksgiving?

ABC news report on Gurnee Community Church hosting the SRs Div 036 was there.

Link for Thanksgiving pictures from Gurnee Community Church. Those wonderful people went "All-Out" for the SRs. Amazing they gave up all of that time and effort during the holiday to make a wonderful day for these SRs. I know there was 211 SRs and Div 036 was there. www.gcchome.org. There are over 1300 pictures of smiling faces!!!

Thanks to all of you for the support and information over the past 2 months. I am only speaking of the shared feelings we have for our children/loved one. With all my nervous energy, I needed to put it to words. It only becomes more clear that we are all in this together - just like our SR's. Have a wonderful day. See you all soon.
