For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

She sounded really good. She was in a hurry and said if she passes her run test she should graduate 12/5. She spoke to her twin brother for a few seconds and told him she misses him and loves him...he almost fell over. She has not told him she loves him since they were in elementary school. She said they do not get any more calls until right before graduation unless they do something to earn them.

Got a letter from my son today. He wants me to check for places to site see in Chicago and locate a good Chinese restaurant to go to after graduation. Any suggestions ?

A cool 65 degrees in Lodi California. I'm gonna freeze in 3 weeks but soooooo worth it to see my son.

Diannep: that weather sounds heavenly!!:) we got 9 inches of snow yesterday, and they are calling for 3-6 more inches over the weekend! Enjoy the beautiful weather:)

Ok, don't shoot the messenger....but we were in the high 60s last night, and now it is 80/81 degrees here in MIA! Sunny and beautiful! :-) Yep, the snowbirds are arriving here in S. FL. But most will come after Thanksgiving.
On the flip side, our weather for about 6 or 7 mos a year is not so good.....very humid, hot, zaps your energy....so we love to brag a bit during the few months we have where it is really nice! Going into the 50s at night later in the week, but it will warm up again.
