aossanna,

So blessed to have people like that willing to help others in the snowy states!!

Comment by aossanna on November 7, 2014 at 12:20am

So I would like to post something good per Kimberly68's suggestion.  I live in Maine and if you have been following the National News we received one heck of a storm on the 2nd of November. I was without power for 60 hours (trust me that is no big deal in this part of Maine) and the community really came together to help each other out. On Monday morning four men on my road pushed my car out of the driveway and then with chainsaws made a path down our road so I could get to work at the non-profit health care facility I manage.  There is plenty of good in the world, so glad they are my neighbors.  In just 4 weeks we will meet and greet each other, I can't wait.  Godspeed!

Ilovemyjob6  I can not answer the hotel question,, I did not leave the airport at all with my sailor.  Maybe another on here can answer this for you..  sorry..

Adding to CatMom509 as we discussed earlier on here,,Full Moon is family style open 24 hrs and also,,, there is no reservations taken,, as we shared earlier it will be first come first serve.  When the Thanksgiving food is gone, it will just be ordering from menu then.

Comment by CatMom509 on November 6, 2014 at 6:31pm

Okay, Sarge let me know that the Full Moon Family Restaurant (open 24 hours) on the Skokie Hwy 41 just south of Buckley Road on the rightside (close by to RTC) serving a traditional Thanksgiving meal.  Sailors eat free there for this meal~~  It is a really casual, family style restaurant. Click on the Contact link to see a map of their location

http://www.fullmoonopen24hours.com/index.html

He also said that alot of restaurants are closed on Thanksgiving, so if you have a place you'd like to go, please call them to double-check.  Also check with your hotel if they have a restaurant as that might be an option~~
